Counselor AssistanT For our runaway and teen crisis program

Supervise and interact with youth staying in the shelter and assist with the crisis hotline.

Runaway & Teen Crisis Program seeks adult volunteers for a minimum of 4 hours per week for a 17 week semester. Recruitment will be held from November 29 through December 30, 2010.

We hold a special training three times a year for those interested in becoming Volunteer Counselor Assistants.

House Manager Assistant in our Grant Street transitional living program

Here you can help teens on a longer term basis as a support person, tutor or mentor, and help with the educational and therapeutic activities conducted in the program.

We also offer trainings three times a year to prepare volunteers as Assistant House Managers.

Nurturing Program Group Facilitator TRAINING INSTITUTE

Each year Family Support and Empowerment Program of Walker's Point Youth and Family Center offers a Facilitator Training for those interested in developing group skills, and is FREE to volunteers.

The Institute is in two parts: a classroom phrase, and direct service practicum.
